From the Dell Vineyard in Monmouthshire, this delicious Welsh white wine is named after The Afanc, a mythical beast who slinks in the depths of a Welsh mountain lake. It is said to prey upon any foolish enough to fall into its pristine waters.
This wine is a blend of aromatic white varietals, Phoenix, Reichensteiner and Schönburger, from The Dell's 20 year old vineyard in Pen-y-Clawdd.
Expect flavours of elderflower and pear with a passion fruit aroma from this clean and crisp Welsh white wine.
Awarded a Silver medal at the 2023 Welsh Vineyard Association competition.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER
The Dell Vineyard is a a small, family run vineyard based between the beautiful Usk and Wye Valleys in Raglan, Monmouthshire. The Dell has been farmed by the Alford family for five generations.
In 2022 they planted their vineyard on the outskirts of Raglan, with 5000 vines of Pinot Noir and Solaris.
They also lease an established 20 year old vineyard nearby which is located close to the hamlet of Pen-Y-Clawdd. There are 1700 vines which cover an area just over an acre in size. There are several varieties planted including, Pinot Noir, Seyval Blanc and Phoenix.
