The Pink Lady - A Perfect Pink Cocktail Recipe for Valentines Day.

We’re getting ready for Valentine’s Day in our shop and this fruity pink number fits right in with our window decorations.

A high-society favourite from the 1930s - 1950s, the Pink Lady is a classic cocktail (apparently Hollywood star Jayne Mansfield drank one before every meal…!). You can make this Pink Lady with vodka or gin and whilst we use vegan foaming bitters in our cocktails you can of course use egg white to get that lovely foam on the top of the drink.

Grenadine is what delivers the gorgeous colour as well as bringing a little sweetness to balance the sharper apple and citrus flavours. Give it a go!

Pink Lady Cocktail Recipe

To make a Pink Lady you'll need a cocktail shaker and the following ingredients:
- 50ml Barry Island Organic Vodka (or gin if you prefer)
- 25ml cloudy apple juice
- 12.5ml lemon juice
- 12.5ml lime juice
- 10ml grenadine
- Vegan foaming bitters (or egg white)

To make put all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, shake hard and strain into a tumbler with ice and garnish with a lime wedge or if you want something for straight sipping, double strain into a Nick and Nora or Martini glass without ice.
