About the Wines

Baglio Gibellina U Passimiento is a stunning, full-bodied Sicilian red with bundles of bright, intense red fruits aromas on the nose. Expect a deep, rich, warming, full-bodied palate of dark cherry, raisin and sweet spice leading up to a lovely smooth and silky finish. A blend of 70% Nero d'Avola and 30% Frappato, the fruit for this wine is grown in vineyards at the hot, western tip of Sicily. The Nero d'Avola grapes were left to hang longer on the vines before picking to encourage a light withering and natural de-hydration which gives the finished wine an extra concentration of flavours. This red wine has a big personality so it's a great partner to hearty flavoured dishes and meaty pasta dishes. If you're having steak, duck, roast beef, venison... this wine is the perfect accompaniment. Vegan Friendly. 13.5% ABV

Baglio Gibellina Passimiento Bianco is an intense, elegant and complex white wine. Expect a wonderful combination of citrus, grapefruit, apple and white flesh fruits with a hint of Mediterranean flora. A blend of 60% Catarratto grapes and 40% Grillo grapes that are hand harvested at night to take advantage of the cooler temperatures to retain a freshness in the wine. Pair this delicious Sicilian white wine with grilled vegetable dishes, antipasti, fish, or roast chicken.
